Status of Verification and Validation Statements

Unless restricted by a specific programme, BST provides the status of any issued validation or verification (V/V) statement upon request.

We maintain traceable records of all V/V engagements, including their issuance, validity period, and any updates or revisions. When an authorised party enquires about the status of a V/V statement, we confirm whether the statement is:

  • Valid and current,

  • Suspended,

  • Withdrawn, or

  • Superseded by an updated version.

This information is provided in accordance with our confidentiality, impartiality, and record-management procedures, and only to parties with a legitimate need for the information or as allowed by the applicable programme rules.

Use of Verification and Validation Statements and Reports

BST’s V/V statements and reports are issued in accordance with ISO/IEC 17029:2019 and ISO 14065:2020. Our statements of opinion represent the outcome of an independent validation or verification based on the scope, objectives, and criteria agreed with the client. They must be used in their entirety and must not be reproduced, quoted, or used in a misleading context. Partial use, alteration, or misrepresentation of our opinion, statement, or report is strictly prohibited. Clients may only use our V/V opinion for its intended purpose, as stated in the report, and must not imply accreditation, certification, or endorsement of products or services by BST or any accreditation body.
